Valentines is upon us! The holiday known for love, let's take the time this Valentines Day to show some love to other people. This list is directed more towards single girls still at home, but I'm sure it can be adapted to married folks or guys as well. ;) Here are ten unique ways to spread some love, kindness, and joy this holiday. December Favorites Round-Up

Christmas is almost here, y'all! With wrapping presents, singing Christmas carols and cozying up with steaming mochas, it has been a busy past few days. But we wanted to bring you all a fun post for today--a round-up of some of our favorites this December. There're lots of fun Christmas "bucket lists" out there with many of the traditional things to do on them... go see the lights, go sledding, bake sugar cookies, etc. I love doing all those things, but I thought that it would be fun to share 25 unique, not-so-run-of-the-mill things to do at Christmas. Simply Sisters: A New Direction

You've probably already noticed that our blog looks different. And not only do we have a new look, but we're heading in a little bit different direction, too. Less like a diary, more like a blog of DIY, recipes, photography, and inspirational life posts. We'll call it a lifestyle blog. ;) Check out our new Welcome page to see more on what we're about now! We're really excited about our new step forward and hope you are too.

It's still us... it's still our distinct voices in writing (although I hope that I've improved my own voice and style since when we started, lol!) Three years is a good amount of time for a blog, and we're glad for all we've learned through keeping it up. We hope to see Simply Sisters continue on, grow, and mature along with us.

Remember in the last post I said we've been pretty busy? Well, today's post is about one of the things that's been keeping Victoria quite busy. ;) She published her second book on July 15th and her ebook came out on Saturday!  I am super excited and happy about it!

Paleontologist Fun

Whew! It's been a while since I posted on here, hasn't it? 

To be honest, I was kind of struggling for a while with what to write. I had ideas, but I kept wondering if it was really that interesting to others. But sometimes a little break is nice and you come back refreshed and revitalized--and that's the way I feel about this blog right now. Super excited to get back into posting, even if they're short little things like this one is going to be. :) The style of my posts might be a little different now, but...I'm not going to tell you what exactly I mean by that. You'll just have to wait and see. ;)

A Surprise

Nearly three weeks ago, on May 17th, Daddy and Mama went on a "date". Daddy told us the night before he was going to take Mama out for the day and they would leave at about 8:30 AM. He kept the destination a secret(from us kids at least) and said they would be back for dinner. Zeb was sad that Mama would be gone so long but she assured him she would be back that evening.

MK Spirit Week with Baptist Missionary Women

Guess what? It's MK spirit week. This is a week long 'event' that is organized and held by the Baptist Missionary Women blog for the missionary kids around the world. It's actually our first time to participate, and we have all been forming ideas on what to do and discussing our plans.

These are so good. In fact, I had already taken two little bites when I realized "Hey, I could take a picture of this and post the recipe on the blog!" So yes, that's why there is only half a brownie in the less-than-artistic picture.

Bike Ride to Kenbuchi

Good afternoon, everybody!

A few weeks ago Abigail and I went on a bike ride with two of our brothers to a nearby small town, Kenbuchi, and back, which ended up being about a three and a half hour bike ride. Yes, we did stop for lunch part way, lol! It was a lot of fun, and I videoed during different parts to make something kind of like a vlog for you all! :)
